More Masonville and Afton

Kathy sent me some more picture of cairns from this area. They are very nice examples.

I would like to know more about the cairns from Masonville and Afton. They look very substantial in size, and originally very well constructed, but how big are they? And are they round, oval, rectangular, square?

I haven't been to this site but my guess is that they are about eight foot in diameter. The ones in the photographs appear to be round.

A tip for photographers. If you put something in you shot that will give the viewer a sense of scale it helps to tell the story. A red and white meter stick is best.
